As we come ever closer to election day, the Barack Obama campaign is seeing further gains. Several states that President Bush had won in 2000 and 2004 are now leaning toward Barack Obama, these states include Indiana, Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina, Missouri, New Mexico, Colorado, and Nevada. Indiana in particular just went from leaning toward McCain to leaning toward Obama, this is particularly suprising as Bush won Indiana 60% to Kerry's 39% in 2004. If you are interested in seeing the shift from 2004 to today, Politico.com offers a great map here: http://www.politico.com/convention/swingstate.html |
