PublicTruth.Org Endorses Barack Obama
Written by Michael Hamel
Sunday, 26 October 2008

PublicTruth.Org has endorsed Barack Obama for President of the United States.  With the issues facing our nation today, we feel it is critical that the country change course, and we believe that Barack Obama is our best bet at a better course.  We believe that Barack Obama has the integrity that will be required to make Americans believe in their leaders.  We also believe that Barack Obama truly has the interests of the average American at heart.  We look forward to the day when our leaders can focus on the true issues of the day, the economy, healthcare, global warming, and national security.  Although we do need to finish what we have started in Iraq, we need a president, a leader of the free world, who will only wage war when absolutely necessary and justified.  Today most believe that the war in Afghanistan was and is justified, but the war in Iraq where the American people were mislead on the existance of WMD's, there was no true justification, and this unprompted war has but our nation's wellbeing at risk.

This is a hugely important election for both the nation and the world.  It's time to elect a president who is focused on us, the American people, and a man who understands that the global community looks to the United States for leadership.  Let's usher in a new era, and hope that Barack Obama can continue to instill a sense of obligation and urgency in our youth.  Let's usher in change!

Learn About the Candidates on the Issues
Written by Michael Hamel
Sunday, 26 October 2008

Still not sure who to vote for, why not take a closer look at where the candidates fall on the issues?  Rather than reinvent the wheel here, we can point you to a couple of places that we think have done a particularly good job of organizing the issues in a user-friendly format.

CNN has put together a great site organized by issue, they also include tracking polls on each issue so you can see what other Americans are thinking.  You can access the CNN Election Issues site here.

NPR also has a site with a list of issues that you can browse.  While it's not as polished as the CNN site, it does have a wealth of information, and we strongly encourage you to take a look if you are one of the undecided voters our there.  To view the NPR Candidates on the Issues page, click here.

Palin's 'going rogue,' McCain aide says
Written by Dana Bash, Peter Hamby and John King
Sunday, 26 October 2008

With 10 days until Election Day, long-brewing tensions between GOP vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin and key aides to Sen. John McCain have become so intense, they are spilling out in public, sources say.

Several McCain advisers have suggested to CNN that they have become increasingly frustrated with what one aide described as Palin "going rogue."

A Palin associate, however, said the candidate is simply trying to "bust free" of what she believes was a damaging and mismanaged roll-out.
